Towering thousands of feet above the Sonoran Desert, the Santa Catalinas are considered a sky island. For millennium people have visited the mountain regions to escape the heat and play where there’s water and bountiful wildlife. This remains true today, making Mount Lemmon Southern Arizona’s year-round playground.
The Grounds
The Mount Lemmon Lodge grounds offer outdoor seating, a fire pit, and a sauna for relaxation after a day spent exploring the various outdoor activities Mount Lemmon has to offer. Soon we will open the Forest Gardens next door; an alpine forest garden filled with local flora and fruit trees offering a variety of seating and game terraces, as well as space for private event catering. Eventually, the Forest Gardens will also house a dedicated massage space, an exercise facility, a community garden, and bathrooms that utilize harvested rainwater.
