Close out June with the soulful, roots-driven sound of 10:30 Type, led by Tucson-based vocalist and songwriter Eric Sonera, performing live as part of the Music on the Mountain concert series at Mount Lemmon Lodge.
Known for their “old-school vibe,” real instruments, and classic rock-meets-roots sound, 10:30 Type blends soul, funk, blues, rock, and jazz into performances that feel both timeless and deeply personal. Their music is shaped by a rich mix of influences—from Latin traditions and church music to R&B, rock, and Southern blues—woven together through thoughtful songwriting and tight musicianship.
Eric’s background growing up in a Spanish-speaking home brings an expressive vocal style and emotional depth to the band’s sound, while co-writer and multi-instrumentalist Joel adds layers of piano, rhythm guitar, and production. Lead guitarist Jacob brings bold Southern blues energy to every performance, and drummer Kevin grounds it all with rock-inspired rhythms that give the music its driving pulse.
Rooted in Tucson, the band draws inspiration from desert landscapes, mountain horizons, and the city’s uniquely creative spirit—creating songs that feel connected to place, community, and lived experience.
