Acoustic Rock & Storyteller Damon McLaughlin at the Lodge
Damon McLaughlin
Music on the Mountain Performance
Sunday, September 6, 2026 | 1:00–4:00 PM
Spend your Sunday afternoon on the mountain with Damon McLaughlin, a Tucson-based acoustic rock singer-songwriter and award-winning poet whose live performances blend music, storytelling, and improvisation.
Having performed everywhere from Bisbee to Chicago, Damon brings a seasoned, exploratory approach to the stage—mixing familiar covers with original songs that wander into unexpected territory. His background as the author of two poetry collections is evident in his songwriting, where thoughtful lyrics meet a raw, expressive vocal style.
Drawing inspiration from artists like the Grateful Dead, Tom Waits, Eilen Jewell, and Chris Cornell, Damon’s music moves easily between rock, blues, country, and folk. Whether he’s settling into a groove, telling a story, or pushing a song toward its emotional edge, his performances feel unpolished in the best way—honest, engaging, and alive in the moment.
Join us Sunday, September 6 from 1–4 PM for an afternoon of acoustic rock and storytelling, surrounded by cool mountain air and the relaxed setting that defines Music on the Mountain at Mount Lemmon Lodge.
