An Intimate Labor Day Afternoon with Kayla von der Heide
Kayla von der Heide
Music on the Mountain – Labor Day Performance
Monday, September 7, 2026 | 1:00–4:00 PM
Join us on Labor Day Monday for an intimate afternoon of music with Kayla von der Heide, a singer-songwriter whose work is shaped by honesty, resilience, and a deep connection to place.
Originally from California’s Mojave Desert and now based in Bisbee, Arizona, Kayla brings a sound that feels both grounded and exploratory—reflecting the landscapes and life experiences that have shaped her journey. Her music is driven by storytelling and emotional clarity, inviting listeners into moments that feel personal yet universally relatable.
Kayla first gained wider attention after winning the Gems on VHS “Gems in the Rough” singer-songwriter contest, which led to a recording opportunity in Nashville and helped solidify her commitment to pursuing music. Since then, she has continued to hone her craft through live performances, songwriting, and creative exploration—earning recognition for her authenticity and quiet intensity. A later invitation to audition for The Voice further affirmed her path and deepened her resolve to give her music an honest, wholehearted effort.
Her live performances are reflective and engaging, creating space for connection—those moments when a song resonates, a lyric lingers, and the audience leans in. It’s a style perfectly suited for a relaxed holiday afternoon in the mountains.
Spend Labor Day, September 7 from 1–4 PM at Mount Lemmon Lodge enjoying thoughtful songwriting, cool mountain air, and the kind of live music experience that stays with you long after the last note.
