As daylight fades over the Santa Catalina Mountains, the Lodge takes on a different atmosphere…candlelight, intimate seating, with live music performed just a few feet away.
Join us for the spring edition of Evenings on the Mountain, Mount Lemmon Lodge’s quarterly candlelit concert series, featuring the acclaimed folk-classical collective Floyds Row.
Blurring the boundaries between musical traditions, Floyds Row explores the connections among early music, classical, folk, newgrass, and world music, creating performances that feel at once historic and entirely contemporary.
The ensemble began through a series of collaborations at the University of Oxford and has since performed throughout the United Kingdom and United States, appearing at venues including the American Folk Art Museum, Berklee College of Music, Club Passim, Rockwood Music Hall, Gaithersburg Arts Barn, and the Winchendon Music Festival.
Their music draws inspiration from centuries-old melodies and stories, then reshapes them through modern arrangements and an unmistakably acoustic, chamber-like sound.
Old Music, Rediscovered
Floyds Row’s newest album, The Carlisle Sessions, released in August 2026 by Big Round Records/PARMA Recordings, continues the ensemble’s fascination with music that might otherwise have been forgotten.
The collection revisits historic musical tales and melodies—from adventures and legends to music connected with figures such as Robin Hood and George Washington, and gives them new life through contemporary folk-classical arrangements.
Expect an evening of violin, mandolin, accordion, bass, percussion and other acoustic textures, performed in the warm and intimate surroundings of Mount Lemmon Lodge.
A Different Kind of Night on the Mountain
Evenings on the Mountain is designed to bring artists and audiences together in a setting very different from a traditional concert hall.
With limited seating, candlelight, the quiet of the mountain after dark, and musicians performing within feet of the audience, each installment offers a rare opportunity to experience live music in an exceptionally personal setting.
Arrive early, enjoy dinner or drinks at the Lodge, and settle in for an evening where the surroundings are as memorable as the performance.
