We’re kicking off the Music on the Mountain 2026 concert series with a true powerhouse of blues.

Heather “Lil’ Mama” Hardy brings a sound that is both deeply rooted and completely her own, blending soulful blues vocals with expressive, improvisational violin that has captivated audiences for decades. Classically trained at the Manhattan School of Music and forged in the clubs, subways, and stages of New York City, Heather’s musical journey spans punk, blues, rock, and Americana.

After relocating to Tucson in the 1990s, Heather became a defining force in the regional blues scene, earning induction into the Arizona Blues Hall of Fame and performing internationally with her Lil’ Mama Band and other acclaimed ensembles. Her career includes appearances on more than 200 albums, international tours, and ongoing work bringing music into therapeutic and community-based programs.

Her live performances are dynamic, soulful, and engaging…equal parts technical mastery and raw emotion, making her the perfect artist to open our summer series.
