Get ready for a high-energy Sunday afternoon on the mountain with Garrett James and the Wanderers, a Tucson-based blues-rock band bringing vintage-inspired sound and youthful fire to the Music on the Mountain concert series at Mount Lemmon Lodge.
Named for lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter Garrett James, the band blends blues, rock, and R&B into a style that feels classic yet fresh. Formed while the members were still in high school, Garrett James and the Wanderers quickly gained momentum playing local events across Southern Arizona before stepping onto larger stages.
Their talent has earned them recognition in regional music competitions, including taking first place in the group category at the Proof Is In the Pudding competition hosted by the Alice Cooper Solid Rock Teen Centers, leading to opportunities opening for well-known artists at major events.
With a sound shaped by classic blues-rock influences and driven by tight musicianship, the band delivers both original songs and crowd-favorite covers, each performance fueled by strong chemistry and a genuine love for live music.
