Celebrate Independence Day on the mountain with Kevin Pakulis & Frank Filipo, bringing award-winning Americana, blues, and roots-driven rock to Mount Lemmon Lodge in honor of our nation’s 250th anniversary.
Kevin Pakulis is a master guitarist and gifted storyteller whose music captures the grit, soul, and stories of the Southwest. Emerging from Tucson’s vibrant music scene in the early 2000s, Kevin quickly earned national recognition for his raw, guitar-driven sound and emotionally honest songwriting.
Joining Kevin is Frank Filipo, who arrived in Tucson from Long Island, New York in 2015 and quickly became immersed in the local music community. Since partnering with Kevin in 2023, the two have developed a joyful musical collaboration that adds depth, energy, and spontaneity to Kevin’s already powerful performances.
Kevin’s music ranges from introspective acoustic moments to rocking blues anthems, from satirical observations to deeply personal reflections. His songs often draw from life in the Sonoran Desert—love, loss, resilience, and community—delivered with heart and unmistakable authenticity. Whether performing original material or paying tribute to the artists who inspire him, Kevin (now alongside Frank) brings a dynamic presence that connects immediately with audiences.
Over the years, Kevin has shared stages with legends including Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Dwight Yoakam, Leon Russell, and Little Feat, while building a loyal following at home for his signature “desert soul” sound.
Join us Saturday, July 4 from 1–4 PM for an afternoon of Americana, blues, and storytelling as we celebrate Independence Day with live music in the mountains—an experience rooted in place, passion, and community.
